How to Pick Your Best Red Lipstick for Fall

Sharing is caring!

The red lips trend seems to never go out of style. Season after season, it pops up again and for fall, it ruled the runway yet again but this time, we’re coveting a plethora of red shades from the classic red to deep wines. So how do you pick your best red?

Well, there are so many reds to choose from but it’s best to choose one that fits your style.

Classic Matte– I love a perfectly matte red lipstick. It’s a starter red full of rich color without the glossy finish. It’s a classic look that adds a certain texture that was so prevalent in the mid ’90s and it’s the perfect type of lipstick that looks great with everything you own. When choosing a classic matte red lipstick, pick a universally flattering one like Marc Jacobs Kiss Pop Lip Color Stick in Strawberry Red. Don’t forget to use a liner too as matte lipsticks tend to feather.

Dark and Vampy– We love deep, dark lips for fall! This eye-catching red is great to wear with something super sexy. You’ll definitely be the center of attention (but in a good way!). Try Urban Decay Lipstick in Blackmail.

Bright and Glossy– This is a much bolder version than the matte. Bright and glossy red lips is a standout look to pair with the perfect little black dress. This look is also perfect to wear alone so keep your eye makeup and blush to a minimum. Strong brows is a great look to pair with a bright and glossy red lip as it will balance out that red pop of color. Try NARS Lip Gloss in Eternal Red.

Are you lovin’ these hot fall lipstick shades? What’s your favorite red lip for fall?
