At the beginning of this year, I decided to jump start my New Year’s resolution to get in shape and eat healthier so I invested in a new blender (Nutri Ninja Auto IQ) and it has truly changed my life. I make healthy smoothies all the time now for breakfast or in between meals and it’s a lot of fun. I like to get creative with smoothie-making especially when the season changes. To savor the autumn season, I made this healthy, vibrant Cranberry, Orange, and Banana Smoothie. It was my first time making a smoothie with cranberries since you usually find them in stores during autumn. It turned out amazing! I just love the sweet and tart taste.
Cranberries are anti-oxidant rich and by adding an orange to the mix, this smoothie will give you loads of Vitamin C.
Cranberry Orange Banana Smoothie
- 1 cup of frozen cranberries
- 1 cup of low fat (or non-fat) greek vanilla yogurt or unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1 banana
- 1 orange
- 5-6 ice cubes
Makes one 20 oz.
In a blender (Recommend: Nutri Ninja Auto IQ), combine the yogurt, cranberries, banana, oranges, almond milk, and ice cubes. You can also add a tbsp of honey if needed. Blend on high speed until smooth for 1 minute. If you have a Nutri Ninja Auto IQ, press Nutri Ninja Ultra Blend button. Pour the smoothie into a large glass and enjoy!
I love my Nutri Ninja because it’s great for making smoothies, shakes, and purees. If you want to eat healthier, treat yourself this holiday season or the health nut on your gift list with the Nutri Ninja Auto IQ Duo. It features one-touch intelligence for all of your blending, processing, and nutrient and vitamin extraction needs. I bought mine on Amazon.
