How I Rescued My Damaged Hair with Pantene

March 28, 2019

Disclosure: This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Pantene. The opinions and text are all mine.

I’ve had more and more great hair days since I joined the Pantene 14 Day Challenge back in January. I’m still using the Gold Series Collection and as you can see, my curls are still poppin’. However, every once in a while my natural hair needs even more TLC since it is color-treated. My color treatments can cause hair damage, such as dryness due to loss of nutrients, thus making it much harder for me to manage. I’ve spent some time sampling hair care products, but the results haven’t been stellar. When Pantene reached out to me again to try their newly released Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots, I was beyond excited.

Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots

Pantene’s latest at-home rescue treatment is actually imported from Brazil. Yup, Pantene decided to follow Brazil’s secret to a great hair day and I’m glad they did. Each of the Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots contains a loaded blend of Pro-Vitamin B5, strengthening lipids and natural glycerin. It absorbs into the hair, targeting the most damaged areas, giving hair new shine, softness and resiliency. Unlike other hair masks and treatments that require an extensive amount of leave-in time, the Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots only requires 30 seconds to leave in and 30 seconds to rinse out.

How-To Use

First, I used Pantene Gold Series Moisture Boost Shampoo. Infused with argan oil, this shampoo makes it so much easier to detangle my hair with each wash and it smells amazing. I absolutely love it!

Next, I used one of the Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots, instead of my normal conditioner. There’s a total of 3 shots individually packaged in the box and meant for single use. I made sure to fully saturate my hair from root-to-tip but also focused on the areas with the most damage. Pantene formulated the product to prevent overdosing so I don’t have to hold back. Amazing!

This weekly treatment has done wonders to my hair. After using it for the first time, my hair felt so hydrated and healthy. I could literally use my fingers to comb through my natural 4C hair with ease. It’s so soft and shiny, I can’t stop touching it! After the second shot, my hair felt a lot stronger as well. It’s no wonder it’s the #1 selling new treatment item in the haircare category.

This product is now a part of my spring hair care routine. If you’re still struggling with winter hair damage, then add these Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots to your spring beauty shopping list. You can purchase them now at Walmart.
