5 Simple Habits to Change for a Healthier 2018

May 7, 2018

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Michelob ULTRA but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

Since the beginning of the year, I made a big lofty goal to lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle. I had specific, attainable goals in mind to make sure my ambitious resolutions wouldn’t fall by the wayside like they have in the past. I focused on smaller changes instead of big ones this time around and the positive changes have been stellar thus far.

Here are 5 simple habits you should try to implement in your daily life to make 2018 your healthiest year yet!

1. Exercise, Exercise, Exercise

If you haven’t already, make daily exercising your goal in 2018. That doesn’t mean you have to go to the gym everyday. Simply, spend less time in front of the television and computer and more time walking and doing other things that put the body in motion.

2. Make a Grocery List

When it comes to making healthy eating choices, I believe that setting yourself up for success starts at the grocery store. I always have a plan in place before I leave to the grocery store. I’ll make a list and stick to it!

3. Spend Sometime Outside

I’m lucky to have mild and sunny spring’s here in Los Angeles. According to Harvard Health, spending some time outside is good for you. Your Vitamin D levels will rise, you’ll get more exercise, your concentration will improve, and lots more!

drinking michelob ultra pure gold

I love to go to my backyard and get some fresh air while sipping on a cold light beer like Michelob ULTRA Pure Gold. What I love about Michelob ULTRA Pure Gold is that it gives you the permission to make healthier choices, while still ending off the day with an ice cold beer that you can feel great about drinking.

Michelob ULTRA is a premier fitness brand, so they know that beer drinking doesn’t always mean the opposite of being fit. Pure Gold is Michelob ULTRA’s newest line of beer that is sustainably sourced with ingredients and inspiration from nature. It’s made with organic grains, from the country’s finest fields, and with sustainable packaging in partnership with the Sustainable Forestry Initiative. The beer itself is a light lager with a superior, golden taste that contains only 85 calories and 2.5 carbs. Pure Gold is also triple filtered and brewed free of artificial colors and flavors.

4. Buy Healthy Eats

I like eating out once in awhile, but instead of splurging on fast foods, I’ll buy healthy eats like a sandwich or fruit and veggies for a quick snack. I’ll eat outside on the patio while enjoying the weather. I always reach for a Michelob ULTRA Pure Gold when I’m heading to the patio because it is the perfect drink to enjoy in nature since it’s inspired by nature.

5. Take a Break & Recharge

Giving yourself a break every once in a while is good for your mental health. Whenever I feel burned out from work, I’ll take a day off or two to recharge my batteries. I’ll use that time to go watch a movie I’ve been dying to see, go to a spa, or I’ll just stay in bed all day.

I hope you implement at least one of these habits this year. Also, add Michelob ULTRA Pure Gold to your shopping list! This line is being produced in limited quantities, so be sure that you and your friends get some ASAP! I was able to grab a pack at my local Target but if you’re struggling to find it, check out their store locator page here.
