So back in June, I got my hands on one of the new Nivea Lip Butters. I am excited because these lip butters have only been available in the UK for a while and they just debuted in the U.S. earlier this year. So read on for my full review.
Nivea Lip Butters come in 4 flavors:
- Caramel Cream
- Raspberry Rose
- Vanilla & Macadamia
I had the opportunity to test out Raspberry Rose flavor and the scent reminds me of a raspberry frozen yogurt, so sweet. I couldn’t resist the yummy aroma which is one of the reasons why I wore it all summer long. I also liked that the Raspberry flavor is subtly tinted (a very slight pink) so it doesn’t change your natural lip color.
Packaging & Formula
I just adore the packaging on these lip butters. The tins are so simple and sleek and they stay shut when closed. I like to carry one with me everyday so I like that it’s small enough to fit into my jean pocket.
The formula in these lip butters kept my lips soft and flake-free throughout the summer. It’s an effective lip moisturizer and very hydrating. The lip butters do list petrolatum as an ingredient and even though some prefer to stay way from petroleum-based products, its important to know that it still comes with great benefits such as preventing moisture loss and boosting wound healing properties.
As for the price, I consider $3.99 a steal compared to other high-priced lip balms with similar benefits.
Overall, I give this product a 5/5. I plan on getting my hands on the other three lip butters, especially now since we’re approaching the fall season.
