There are so many reasons to switch to vegan beauty products. For me, I made the choice to switch at the beginning of the year because I found them to be more gentler on the skin and I wanted to be more ethical on my purchases. I suffer from breakouts once in awhile and these products helped tremendously with healing my acne fast. Also, there are still many brands that test their cosmetics on animals, so once I started running out on old staples, I slowly started swapping them out for vegan ones.

Why I Shop At iHerb For Vegan Beauty

I discovered iHerb recently and I was amazed at the amount of natural products they carried. In fact, iHerb is a global leader in bringing the best overall value in natural products to their customers all over the world.  They offer a Triple Guarantee to ensure customers are 100% satisfied:

Thanks to iHerb’s Triple Guarantee, there’s great comfort in knowing you can find the right natural products that meets your individual needs. For the past couple of weeks, I switched to a completely vegan skincare routine and below is my step-by-step process including vegan products I found on iHerb that I now can’t live without!

Step 1. Cleanse

Every morning and night, I’ll wash my face with The Seaweed Bath Co. Purifying Detox Facial BarI’m a big fan of charcoal powder so this soap was an absolute must for me. I suffer from acne from time to time and I have large pores around my cheeks but I’ve noticed my skin looking smoother and much healthier after a couple of uses. Charcoal powder is known to draw out impurities, dirt and toxins from the skin but, this soap also contains a mineral-rich volcanic ash that gently purifies and exfoliates the skin.

This soap truly does give your skin a detox which is why I love it so much!

Step 2. Exfoliate

I’ve tried so many facial scrubs in the past, but Acure Brightening Facial Scrub takes the cake. When I need a deep clean, which is typically 2-3 times a week, I reach for this scrub to slough away dead skin cells, built-up debris and excess oil. It can also be viewed as a nourishing scrub too as it contains super-nutrients like Chlorella, Lemon Peel, and Sea Kelp to soften skin and brighten your appearance. It smells so clean and fresh, I get so excited when I’m getting ready to use it. I’m still amazed at the amount of compliments I’m getting from friends and family members on how much brighter my skin looks.

The scrub has really helped me control my acne, but I have still have a few dark spots that I’m trying to reduce. So, I started using MyChelle Fruit Fiesta Peel twice a week to address it and other aging-related issues. It’s a very powerful exfoliating peel with a potent AHA blend of multi-fruit acids and 7% lactic acid to help promote skin renewal. It also contains nourishing vitamins and antioxidants to rejuvenate and revive your complexion. I love the way I feel refreshed after using this peel and my complexion looks more vibrant. I’ve used this peel only twice and so far I’m impressed with the results.

Step 3. Sheet Mask

Sheet masks have been all the rage and yes, I’m one of the many that have jumped on the train. I’ve tried many sheet masks over the years but, Acure Seriously Soothing Biocellulose Mask is one of my favorite vegan sheet masks I’ve tried. It contains Hyaluronic acid & plant peptides leaving my skin smooth and plump. It also gave my skin a much needed boost of moisture. I really did feel like I was having a luxurious spa day from the comfort of my home.

If you’ve never used a sheet mask before, try one from a clean brand like Acure. You’ll definitely won’t be left disappointed.

Step 4. Vitamin C Serum

It’s true when they say Vitamin C is one of the most vital ingredients in any skin care regimen. I love Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum because I can feel it working the minute it’s applied. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant and can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles & discoloration. I apply it morning and night and after four days, I didn’t have nearly as many breakouts. It’s a new product in my skin care regimen so with more usage, I’m hoping to see it help even out my skin tone too.

Step 5. Moisturize

After applying a serum, I moisturize my face. I use DeVita Solar Protective Moisturizer in SPF 30+ during the day because it has sun protection. I appreciate the fact that it’s lightweight, never greasy or heavy on my face and it absorbs quickly. When I wear it without makeup, there’s barely any white cast and that’s a huge thumbs up for me. I’m very happy with it.

At night, I use Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream. Even though I have oily skin, the winter weather still manages to dry it out a bit so I love applying this cream and feeling hydrated before heading to bed.

For my lips, the Everyday Ethically Traded Coconut Mint Lip Balm leaves a cooling effect that’s very pleasant. I leave it in my bag for touch ups throughout the day.

  1. These look like some amazing products. I have charcoal bars of soap for my teenager, but he rarely uses it. I wish he would because he has some breakouts and he never stops touching his face, which doe’nst help with the acne.

  2. Thanks for the tip 😉

Can’t stress enough the importance of a daily skincare routine. Will definitely include some vegan-based products into mine too. I need to double-check the list of ingredients of my current set up, though and decide which one is on the go!
