A Cool Trick to Make Thin Eyelashes Appear Thicker

March 3, 2011

Who doesn’t want thick, flirty lashes like celebrities? Whenever I see Serena Williams on the red carpet, I always admire her makeup look, especially the eyes. Her lashes always looks full and gorgeous. I can’t say that her eyelashes are real or fake but I’m going to lean towards her wearing faux lashes because all the celebs do it and it’s a quick way to fuller lashes.

Now don’t get me wrong, I do not object to faux lashes. I love the look but applying faux lashes everyday to achieve fuller lashes is something I just don’t have time to do. So I asked myself, “How can I make my already thin lashes appear thicker without applying fake ones?”

Answer: The Powder Trick!

It’s really simple to do and apparently makeup artists use this trick on models all the time during fashion shows.

Here’s what you do: First, close your eyes and sweep a small amount of powder over your eyelashes (loose powder is fine). Then, apply your favorite mascara and that’s it! When you apply the powder, it sticks to your lashes making them appear thicker after applying mascara. So, the next time you reach for your faux lashes, try the powder trick first.

Well this sounds like it’s very easy and quick and doesn’t even require you to buy any new make-up or mascara than you already have, but if you are wearing contact lenses this can cause small debris from the powder to get stuck to your lens, so be very careful!
