The One Skincare Product I Can’t Live Without

Being an L.A. girl and all, it’s kind of in my DNA to worship the sun. The hotter months are my favorite times of the year. When summer rolls around, you can find me in my element which is lounging by the pool with good reads or taking a stroll along the beach.
We have sunny days most of the year so I’ve trained myself to wear SPF daily. It doesn’t matter if I’m on the beach, or if I’m in the middle of a hurricane—my sunscreen is always in my bag because it’s an essential part of my daily routine.
As a black woman, there was one point in my life where I often wondered if I even needed to wear sunscreen. Darker skin types have more melanin in their skin, which give some extra UV protection, but UV rays can still penetrate our skin and damage both the epidermis and deeper collagen.
We often here the term, “black don’t crack” when it comes to us black folks and our skin. Yes, dark skin does age well, but I should still protect my skin to keep it that way. Today, I’m a daily devotee to sunscreen! I’ve been using Olay Complete All-Day Moisturizer with SPF 15 and I’m absolutely loving it!

I love that this moisturizer is super lightweight yet packed with antioxidants to condition my skin. And it’s not like your standard sunscreen either. No white cast, no horrid smell and no shiny face! I can’t get enough of it and the feel is incredibly moisturizing. ⠀
I’ve used a pricier brand in the past, but I plan on sticking with Olay because I find it slightly better and you just can’t beat the price.

Olay is a brand that takes me back to my childhood. My Nana swore by it. I love that I am now able to use those products and think of her at the same time.

I have a lotion with SPF in it and it’s really mild on my skin. I think its so important to make sure you monitor your skin exposure. Sometimes skin cancer doesn’t show up for ten years!
Olay is one of the best skin care product and my mom used it for so many years and I can say it is really good for her skins.
Sunscreen is important any time of the year but especially during the spring and summer months!! I need try this Olay sunscreen!
We use Olay products but I haven’t seen this one yet. A good moisturize is a must for the skin.

This may sound funny but my brother is an Olay fan. When I was concerned about my changing skin he introduced me to Olay. I say “introduce” because I remember Oil of Olay as something my great-grandma, grandma and my mom used. I was so wrong. The Olay facial wipes are one of my beauty must haves and I am always up to trying out their new products. I can’t wait to try this one out.
Olay has always been on my shelf. They just make a great product for all of my uses.!
