Barcelona Hot Chocolate recipe

Hot chocolate is one of my all time favorite drinks this holiday season. I love the classic hot chocolate but every now and then, it’s good to go for a healthier recipe.

Did you know this sweet treat has health benefits? According to Cooking Light, clinical studies show that eating small amounts of chocolate (one piece a day―about 30 calories’ worth) lowered systolic blood pressure by 2.9 mm/Hg. That in turn may lower your risk of stroke or coronary heart disease.

So, if you’re in the mood for hot chocolate, choose dark chocolate containing at least 70% cocoa. I’ve been a big fan of dark chocolate ever since my mom got me hooked. If you’re a dark chocolate lover like myself or looking for a healthier alternative, try this fun Barcelona hot chocolate recipe!
