Adjusting to seasonal changes isn’t always easy for me. There’s a lot to love about autumn and winter, like the changing leaves and of course the holidays. However, new seasons can also lead to new health issues. By taking supplements for fall and winter, I can help prevent these kinds of problems while enjoying an array of benefits at the same time.

Of course, not all supplements offer the same kinds of benefits. There are specific vitamins and products that will help you deal with the unique challenges of these colder seasons. Make sure you stock up on supplements so that you’re more than ready for the changes ahead.

The best place I like to shop for supplements is at my favorite online natural products company, iHerb.

Why I Purchase My Supplements From iHerb

I grab a lot of my supplements from iHerb because it’s super convenient and affordable.

Fall and Winter Supplements

Although the majority of nutrients our body needs should come from our diet, I still like to take supplements so I can take better care of myself. Supplements are a way to confirm that you’re consistently consuming the right kinds of nutrients, and they can also help boost your overall health.

So today I’m going to share the 7 supplements I like to take during autumn and winter! First up are my favorite vitamins!

best vitamins for cold season

1. Multivitamin

A multivitamin is a simple way to meet your nutritional needs and ensure that your body is getting everything that it needs.

When I choose a multivitamin, I seek out a high-quality product that has the appropriate balance of nutrients that’s for women and appropriate for my age. Lately, I’ve been taking Super Nutrition Simply One Women Multivitamin + Supporting Herbs and I feel amazing. It has great immune support and gives me a boost of energy which is something I needed since I’m not as active as much and spending more time at home.

2. Vitamin C

I’ve read many experts say that vitamin C levels in the blood are one of the best markers of overall health.

While I like to get vitamin C in citrus fruits like oranges and lemons, taking a Vitamin C supplement will ensure that my body is always getting enough of this essential nutrient since I’m prone to get sick during the colder months. By taking vitamin C, I’m protecting my health as temperatures become colder. I like California Gold Nutrition, Gold C, Vitamin C in 500mg. I take it once a day to give my immune system a boost. I’m actually a big fan of the brand because so far their products haven’t let me down yet.

3. Vitamin D

We spend far less time in the sun after summer ends, so taking a vitamin D supplement is essential. I’ve also noticed having a much better mood when taking Vitamin D since it does influence mood regulation. My go-to Vitamin D supplement is Lake Avenue Nutrition Vitamin D3 (1000 iu). It’s the recommended amount to take daily and there are 360 gel capsules so it will last a long time. They do have higher amounts if you need to up the dosage especially if you have a Vitamin D deficiency. Of course you would need to talk to your doctor first on a recommended amount for you.

4. Vitamin B Complex

B vitamins have a direct impact on your energy levels, making a supplement the perfect solution for anyone like me that tends to feel sluggish when autumn rolls around. They can also improve the body’s ability to fight off infections.

I’m currently taking Gummiology B Complex Gummies. I like that they’re in gummy form and it smells like real strawberries. It tastes good and I’ve noticed slight improvement in skin after taking it for a couple of weeks. I also like that it contains Zinc and Vitamin C which aids in the immune system. Another thing I noticed is that the daily values of the B vitamins are mostly less than 100% so it’s not too potent.

5. Omega 3 Fish Oil

Omega-3s offer powerful benefits to both the body and the mind. They can help to fight depression and can also reduce feelings of anxiety. They can also improve concentration, making it easier for you to complete tasks. I have so many projects I’m tackling for the next couple of months so taking omega-3s has helped me to get things done!

I really like Oslomega Norwegian Omega-3 Fish Oil. It has a lemon flavor which I like because it doesn’t taste too fishy. It does a pretty good job masking the smell. They even have a kid version!

6. Probiotics

fall and winter supplements

Probiotics can help to strengthen your immune system, helping your body to fight off those illnesses. On top of that, it can be beneficial for people that suffer from seasonal allergies and respiratory conditions.

Taking probiotics can also be a way to balance the healthy bacteria in your gut, which can help with digestive issues.

I’ve taken probiotics over the years and by far this Daily Maintenance Probiotics by HealthyBiom is my favorite as it really has helped me with gas relief. This will definitely come in handy as we enter the holiday season since we all tend to overeat. Am I right?

7. Sierra Bees Chest Rub Balm

winter supplements

Sierra Bees Chest Rub Balm is an easy-to-use balm containing both peppermint and eucalyptus oil. It’s an ideal solution to seasonal allergies, sinus problems, and even the common cold. I recently was suffering from allergies and it really provided great sinus relief. It’s amazing! I rubbed it on my chest and a bit under my nose to boost the potency. The Eucalyptus oil and peppermint oil provided relief and helped me feel more calm and relax at the end of the night.
